PITY THE POOR SUFFERING RICH
Pity the poor suffering rich! It is such a horrible hardship they face in these economic hard times. A group of the poor suffering ones were sitting round talking about their hardships at a restaurant where the cost of one meal could feed a family for a week, wearing the latest fashion statements that cost more than most workers make in a month. One spoke up and said, “I had to put off buying my third summer home this year.” They all agreed that must be devastating to endure. Take from the poor and give to the rich, was the agreed upon solution to end their misery. “The poor have too much already. Cut Social Security, those old people are all used up anyway. And damn those unions, they always want more of the economic pie and they don't give a damn about how that makes us feel! If only they could walk a mile in our shoes and know our pain” One of then added, “Never mind the fact that none of them could afford our shoes.” They all laughed at that one. Another speaks up: “And those damn Indians wanting back what we fairly stole from them”. .
Simple fact: As long as there are those that have far more than they need, there will be many who have far less than they need. Pity the rich no more!

and if by some chance, you manage to make it big, either through inheritance or working for it and want to be left alone to spend your hard earned money in peace, perhaps someone from the zone will remember this.

Right, cuz rich people are all like that. Including those union owners like the head of the AFLCIO and UAW. Gotta love hippocrisy

Ahh, nothing like a little class warfare.
Please.

I don't care what people say or do, rich or poor. Unless they affect me in some way directly it doesn't matter. I have other priorities of my own and I have to focus on myself now. It's their money, so let them choose to do whatever they want with it.

Post 8 by ProudAFL-CIOLaborUnionGirl (Account disabled) on Monday, 04-Mar-2013 9:09:17

Focus on yourself? That's people's problems these days they are nothing but selfish all about them assholes.

It's human nature. Everyone has their own agenda, just as you have yours. No?

Post 10 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Monday, 04-Mar-2013 10:46:24

exactly, but some of us are at least man/woman enough to admit it, whereas she isn't.

Ok, have a seat and get comfortable. I'll tell you a little story and the reasoning behind my selfish logic.
For most of my childhood, I was a people pleaser. I spent more time trying to make people happy. I tried being perfect, tried being someone who I was not. People noticed it and didn't like it. I was also a lot more giving than I am now, which I still can be but I've realized that there is a limit as to who and what you should give to people, because somewhere down the line someone will take advantage of it. So those two things didn't make other people happy and it made me miserable. Fortunately for me, I figured out what the problem is. I've found that someone else will always be unhappy with something I do, but that is beyond my control so long as I'm being rational. What's more important is that I am happy. That I get what I want and need first. You'll probably interpret it as selfish, because from what I've noticed about you, there is only one way to go with you. All you care about is the unions and whatever other nonsense you try to advertise on here. I don't see how you can seriously be happy and enjoy your life. There's way more to life than one thing. So, why not try doing more for yourself to make yourself happy, rather than doing things for the benefit of an organization? You only live once.

have you not realized that this girl is a lost cause? seriously. she hasn't listened to anything others have told her thus far, so why continue trying? let her be idealistic. I guarantee something in life will give her the ass kick she needs, one day, and it probably won't be online.

yep agree with chels here. from her board posts, holding on to her idiology is obviously more important to her than ever finding happiness. Quite sad, but that's her choice...

Now, that was what's called satire and I wanted to gage your reactions. Thanks, I got some and it was totally what I expected.

Post 15 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Tuesday, 05-Mar-2013 9:17:30

Ah, so we really shouldn't take you seriously after all? You're not all that different from the guy who tries to keep everyone in such an uproar with his, "I'm on Facebook," board? Well, on second thought, that's probably a good thing really, since you've waved your flag so much that you've lost any real credibility anyway. Way to go! Hope the laugh was worth it.

It was.

Well, the true colors have been revealed. i have nothing else to contribute to this conversation. Not sure why I didn't notice sooner. Ah well, back to my selfish life where I don't pity anyone.

I am done playing with the drone girl. she's a true blue drone, and am done running my elenchi circles around her. she's hopeless! reminds me of thrasymachus, but worse! a lot worse!

Define lenchi for me?

Oh and by the way if you are so done, then why bother posting here?

You Conservative drone. Back up your facts and learn how to spell.

Hi,
I, for one, found the original post a bit humorous. Especially the part about bemoaning the fact that they could not buy a third summer home. I’ve heard conversations like this. Just makes me want to break in and say, “You poor, poor person. I feel so sorry for you!!” if I had a bunch of money, I’d rather invest it in investments, which were going to make me more money, than, buy three houses.
Take Care,
Dawnielle

Exactly, that's why I posted it, because it was funny. People need to get lives around here and lighten the hell up!

Post 24 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Friday, 15-Mar-2013 20:28:15

Sure, that's why you posted it. That's why you got offended when people didn't agree with it. Sure, now about that London Bridge I'm going to sell you?

Post 25 by jessmonsilva (Taking over the boards, one topic at a time.) on Friday, 15-Mar-2013 22:51:00

well I got ocean front property in arizona. I'll sell it to you! :d

Post 26 by Siriusly Severus (The ESTJ 1w9 3w4 6w7 The Taskmaste) on Saturday, 16-Mar-2013 8:18:57

lenchi it's not lenchi you idiot it's elenchi. and well elenchi is what I have been trying to run around you and run apparently above your head. this, elenchi, is the socratic method if you bother to look it up it would be easy to find and define, but you who insist people google everything and that you won't spoonfeed folks can't even look something up as you are so really fond of saying! how pathetic! and if you think you offend me, rest assure you don't. you just create more laughter in my life. your remarks are not even cutting enough to insult me. they are so standard. try again, you brainless liberal drone

Post 27 by ProudAFL-CIOLaborUnionGirl (Account disabled) on Saturday, 16-Mar-2013 9:38:42

I looked it up and it was missspelled and I'd like that ocean front property in Arizona.

Post 28 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 16-Mar-2013 13:53:11

I'm sure you would. Too bad your union can't get you a high enough paying job to afford it. Maybe if you try standing out, rather than being sanded down to fit the rest of the grain, you'd have some cash to blow. Like those rich people you hate so much.

Post 29 by ProudAFL-CIOLaborUnionGirl (Account disabled) on Saturday, 16-Mar-2013 14:06:02

Hahaha that's just a trip. How do you know how rich or poor I am? You don't do you.

Post 30 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 16-Mar-2013 15:04:30

No, I don't, nor do I care. the crux of my post was in the last little bit, which clearly you missed in favor of an easier target. Which I suppose is wise on your part. You couldn't aim well enough to hit a target any more difficult than the fact that I'm assuming you aren't wealthy. Some marksman you are.
